Mission: Create a sustainable local economy with the support of Bitcoin and the lighting network to open new opportunities to the members of the communities of Jaco and the Canton de Garabito, Costa Rica.

The philosophy of Bitcoin Beach is to challenge growing assumptions that Bitcoin would never be used for daily transactions, as well as the assumption that the wealthy would use Bitcoin more than those looking to climb to the top rung of the economic ladder.

The movement was inspired by the small village of El Zonte, El Savador where the 1^st Bitcoin Beach was born in 2019. This project has set out to prove that Bitcoin could have the greatest impact on the lives of those the society usually ignores.

Bitcoin beach Costa Rica is a Costa Rican/Canadian initiative that works alongside multiple projects.
